It is once again time to recognize the outstanding individuals, groups, and teams that contribute to the tremendous success of CMU. Associated Student Government is proud to announce that nomination forms for the 2012 Maverick Awards are now available in the ASG offices on the second floor of the University Center. Text 2 Mar Violence Prevention and Awareness Forums

Associated Student Government invites you to take a stand against violence.

Please join us for a series of forums that aim to identify and approach violence on campus proactively.

Our first forum takes place Wednesday, March 7 at 6 p.m. in the University Center’s West Ballroom.

Text 21 Feb CMU Index Score Student Forums

Colorado Mesa University is considering moving from an 85 admissions index score to one of 92. This will make CMU a “selective” institution. Currently, the university is “moderately selective”.

ASG will be hosting open forums to collect input from CMU students. An assortment of desserts & hot chocolate will be served!

ASG’s first town hall meeting takes place February 20th in Bookcliff Cafe.

Topics we hope to cover include campus policies on safety and tobacco, alcohol on campus, increasing CMU’s index scores, and the possibility of extending Thanksgiving break.
We welcome all questions, concerns, and input from students.

Text 17 Jan Seeking CMU’s Next Student Trustee

The Colorado Mesa University Associated Student Government is seeking a highly motivated and well-organized student to serve as Colorado Mesa University Student Trustee. Candidates must be of full-time junior or senior status, in good academic standing, and have resided in Colorado at least three years.

The Student Trustee is responsible for representing the students of CMU to
the university’s Board of Trustees. Other duties include serving as an ex-officio executive officer for the Associated Student Government, assisting the ASG External Affairs Committee, and maintaining 10 office hours per week. This is a paid position.

Any individual interested in this position must submit an Election Intent Form by no later than 5 pm, January 27. For more information, please contact ASG Vice President Adrienne Barlow: abarlow AT mavsDOTcoloradomesaDOTedu.
